Call for Reviewers and Editorial Board Members – JRIS

The Journal of Robotics and Intelligent Systems (JRIS) invites qualified researchers, academics, and subject specialists worldwide to express their interest in contributing to the journal as Peer Reviewers or Editorial Board Members.

JRIS is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Birmand Scientific Publishing Ltd., a UK-registered academic publisher.

We are currently developing an international scholarly community covering areas including robotics, intelligent systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, autonomous systems, computer vision, automation, mechatronics, control engineering, intelligent manufacturing, and related interdisciplinary fields.

Peer Reviewers

Reviewers may be invited to evaluate manuscripts that closely correspond to their areas of expertise and provide objective, constructive, and scientifically rigorous recommendations.

Review invitations are based on subject relevance and availability. Reviewers are free to accept or decline individual assignments.

Editorial Board Members

Editorial Board Members may contribute to the scientific development of JRIS by:

  • Providing scholarly advice on the journal's scope and development;
  • Advising on manuscripts within their areas of expertise;
  • Recommending qualified peer reviewers;
  • Supporting high standards of research integrity and publication ethics;
  • Identifying emerging research areas and potential topics for the journal; and
  • Supporting the development of the journal's international academic community.
Voluntary Scholarly Service

Please note that Reviewer and Editorial Board Member positions are voluntary scholarly service positions. They are not employment positions and do not carry a salary or regular financial compensation.

Participation and individual assignments are based on each member's expertise, interest, availability, and willingness to contribute.

JRIS may provide appropriate recognition for verified and meaningful scholarly service in accordance with the journal's recognition policies.

Eligibility and Verification

Applications and expressions of interest are evaluated according to academic or professional qualifications, subject expertise, research and publication record, relevant peer-review experience, and alignment with the scope of JRIS.

The Editorial Office may request information such as:

  • Current academic/professional position and institutional affiliation;
  • Areas of research expertise;
  • ORCID iD;
  • Institutional academic profile;
  • Google Scholar or equivalent scholarly profile; and
  • Relevant publication or peer-review information.

Appointments are subject to verification and approval by the Editorial Office.

Qualified researchers interested in contributing to JRIS are invited to contact the Editorial Office and indicate whether they are interested in serving as a Reviewer or Editorial Board Member.
