Reviewer Ethics

JRIS expects reviewers to uphold the highest standards of publication ethics.

Reviewers shall:

• Maintain confidentiality throughout the review process.
• Review manuscripts fairly and without bias.
• Base recommendations solely on scientific quality.
• Respect intellectual property rights.
• Avoid using unpublished information for personal research.
• Refrain from contacting authors directly regarding submitted manuscripts.
• Notify the editor immediately if they identify ethical concerns or conflicts of interest.

Reviewers should not:

• Delegate reviews without prior editorial approval.
• Delay reviews unnecessarily.
• Request excessive or irrelevant citations to their own work.
• Use confidential information obtained during peer review for personal advantage.

JRIS follows the ethical principles and best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
